How to apply

You can apply for your preferred university by following these steps

1 Check the entry requirements and potential scholarship opportunities

It is important to prepare the document and send an email to the university admission office to check whether your application meet academic requirements including English and possible scholarship. You can ask our mentors and study advisors for in details.

Each university and degree has its own requirements so you will need to check the following for yourself:

2 Preparation of documents

2.1 University application supporting documents

Usually, the following documents for application need to be prepared

  • Proof of identity (name, identity, contact detail, home address)

2.2 VISA application documents list
You can visit the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs’ website to get a clear idea of what documents you will need to provide

You can find your “Education provider CRICOS code” at https://cricos.education.gov.au/ or in your confirmation of Enrolment.
Tips: After you submit your VISA application, you will get a referral letter and a HAP ID, you need to do a health check in a nominated hospital or a clinic.

  • Identity (passport, birth certificate, national identity card or driver license)
  • Evidence of intended study (COE)
  • Welfare arrangements for under 18 year old student(for a student under 18)
  • Parental consent (for a student under 18)
  • Health insurance (Oversea Student health cover, see “what to prepare “part)
  • Genuine Temporary Entrant requirement (a statement to show that you intend to stay in Australia temporarily)
  • Change of name (a marriage or deed poll certificate or a certified copy of evidence of the name change.)
  • Relationship – spouse, de facto partner(a certified copy of your marriage certificate, Family Book, Household Booklet or other evidence of family composition.)
  • Employment history
  • Migration Agent – Form 956 Advice by a migration agent/exempt person
  • Appointment or withdrawal of an authorized recipient – Form 956A
  • Evidence of school enrolment for dependents
  • Research Students (a copy of your research and your cv/resume)

2.3 Document format
Student generally need to provide two types of documents

  • Academic documents (Student academic records, Testimonials)
  • Legal/Official document (student visa-related documents, financial records, medical test results, personal declarations.)

Unreadable documents must be re-submitted, which may delay the assessment process

3 Submitting your application
It is wise to discuss our student advisors or mentors and send us all documents written in English. You can apply to the university for free through us, but you will need to pay the application fee to the university if there is one.

4 Time management
In Australia, universities have two or three semesters of courses. You need to submit your application before the relevant deadline. Most universities have several offer rounds.

  • Check important dates and mark them in a calendar
  • Check entry requirements and consider alternative pathways or universities if these are not met
  • Prepare supporting documents or request for them to be sent to the university by the relevant institution
  • Try to apply 6 months prior

5 Accepting an offer

Typically application results are, successful, waitlisted and unsuccessful. Even if you unsuccessful, you might be accepted in a future intake and if you are waitlisted, you are not guaranteed a place but may be given one in later rounds. You should apply to several universities to keep your options open.
If you are given a conditional offer, this means that you will need to fulfill certain additional criteria to earn your place which may be related to English or academic requirements.

6 Application fees

  • Application fee

From free to AUD 200, it varies across different universities

  • OSHC fee

You need to pay your Oversea Student Health Cover before you get a COE, it is usually around $55/month for a single person

  • Deposit

You need to pay your tuition fee before you get a confirmation of enrolment (COE), it can be a fixed amount of money (e.g.AUD10 000) or a percentage of your tuition fee (25%-50% of the first semester)

  • VISA application fee

After your COE, you can apply for your visa which costs AUD 620

  • VISA health check fee

  • Other fees

Translation fees
Documents that are not in English will need to be fully translated and stamped by an approved translation insititution
